Eyelash Extensions in Bangkok: Classic vs Hybrid vs Volume vs Mega (Prices & Guide)

Bangkok is not a mascara city. Between the heat, the humidity, and the amount of walking-then-sweating-then-air-con most days involve, even waterproof formulas end up smudged under your eyes by 3pm. That's before you factor in the pool day, the gym class, or the flight home from your holiday where you'd rather not be crying into your seatmate over a leaky wing tip.

Eyelash extensions in Bangkok solve the actual problem: you wake up with lashes already done, they survive humidity and sweat, and you stop touching your eye area every ten minutes to check for smudging. The catch is that Bangkok has a huge range of lash techs, and quality varies wildly. Over-glued, over-heavy sets that damage your natural lashes are common if you don't know what to look for.

At GlowUp Beauty Haus, eyelash extensions are done by our Senior Tech, the same level of application whether you're booking a light Classic set or a full Mega Volume set, so isolation and attachment are handled with the same care across every style below.

Classic vs Hybrid vs Volume vs Mega: What's the Difference

Classic

One extension glued to one isolated natural lash, 1:1. This is the most natural-looking option: it adds length and a bit of definition without changing your eye shape or lash line density. Good for a first set, for anyone who wants "your lashes, but better," or for natural lashes that are already fairly full and don't need extra volume to look finished.

Hybrid

A mix of classic 1:1 lashes and light volume fans in the same set, usually alternated across the lash line. You get more texture and a slightly fuller look than pure Classic without going as dramatic, or as heavy, as full Volume. This is the set most people land on when they want "obviously done" lashes that still read as natural in daylight.

Volume

Handmade fans of multiple ultra-fine extensions (roughly 2D to 6D, or two to six thin lashes per fan) attached to a single isolated natural lash. Because each fan is made of very light lashes, you get real density and a fuller lash line without the weight of gluing several classic-thickness extensions onto one lash. This is the set for anyone who wants a full, "false lash" look every day without applying false lashes.

Mega Volume

The densest option: fans built with more, even finer extensions per natural lash for maximum thickness and a fully blacked-out lash line. It's a bold, dramatic look, and because of the extra fan-making time per lash it takes noticeably longer in the chair. Best for lash line density that can actually support it, and for anyone who wants glam-level lashes as a daily look, not just for one event.

What to Expect

  1. Consultation. Your tech checks your natural lash length, density, and growth pattern, then talks through curl and length options for the look you want.
  2. Curl and length selection. Extensions are chosen to suit your natural lash strength: too long or too curled for what your lashes can hold is how sets fall out early or cause damage.
  3. Isolation. Each natural lash is separated with tweezers so the extension attaches to one lash only, never gluing two lashes together.
  4. Application. Extensions (single lashes for Classic, handmade fans for Hybrid/Volume/Mega) are glued close to the base of each isolated lash, one at a time, across the full lash line.
  5. Final check and clean-up. Your tech goes back over the set to fill any sparse spots, checks both eyes match, and removes any stray glue.

Full sets run 60 to 150 minutes depending on the style. Classic is the fastest, Mega Volume takes the longest because of the fan work involved.

How Long Do They Last & Aftercare

A full set typically holds up for 3 to 5 weeks before it needs a fill, though it depends on your own natural lash growth cycle. Book a refill roughly every 2 to 3 weeks to keep the set looking full rather than waiting until it's visibly sparse.

  • Keep lashes completely dry for the first 24 hours: no shower steam, sweat, or tears near the eyes while the bond is still curing.
  • Don't rub or pull at them. Tugging is the main way extensions (and the natural lashes under them) come out early.
  • Brush them gently with a clean spoolie daily to keep fans separated and prevent tangling.
  • Sleep on your back if you can, or use a silk pillowcase. Face-down sleeping crushes and bends the set.
  • Avoid oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, and creams near the lash line. Oil breaks down the adhesive and shortens retention fast.

FAQ

Do lash extensions damage natural lashes?

Not when they're applied and removed correctly. Proper isolation means each extension is glued to one natural lash, not clumped together, and the right length/curl for your lash strength means no extra strain. Damage almost always comes from bad isolation, oversized extensions, or picking sets off instead of getting them professionally removed.

How long does it take?

60 minutes for Classic up to 150 minutes for Mega Volume. See the price list above for exact timing per style.

Can I swim or shower with lash extensions?

Yes, once you're past the first 24 hours after application. After that, water, pool chlorine, and normal showering are fine. Just avoid rubbing the lashes and stick to oil-free products around the eye area to protect the bond.

What if I wear contacts?

You can get lash extensions with contacts. Just let your tech know beforehand, and you can wear them in or take them out for the appointment, whichever you're comfortable with.
